A Young, Pluralistic Institution of Excellence
Founded in 1982 as a private, non-profit university, Diego Portales University now serves over 14,000 students and is recognized as one of the leading private universities in the country, known for its democratic and inclusive spirit.
Since 2017, nōn has collaborated with the university to create content for its various schools, institutes, and organizations. Our work has also involved restructuring the brand identity, implementing new systems, and organizing its extensive content for internal use.
This project was completed in partnership with nōn – Design Studio.
Administrative and Organizational Logos
While working with Diego Portales University, we developed numerous logos for both internal and external communication needs. These logos served a variety of purposes, representing everything from internal institutions like libraries and observatories to events such as applicant fairs and congresses. Most of the logos were designed within specific color and typeface guidelines, though some projects allowed for greater creative flexibility.
Brand Book
Designing the Brand Book for Diego Portales University was one of my key projects. This document required annual updates to reflect changes made throughout the year, which meant meticulously tracking every detail to ensure accuracy in the next edition. The work demanded a high level of precision, as the university’s brand consistency relied heavily on this book and its clear communication to various departments.
Institutional Accreditation Campaign 2018
In 2018, we were tasked with developing and executing the institutional accreditation campaign for Diego Portales University. This process, overseen by the National Accreditation Commission, assesses the university’s performance based on various criteria to determine its standing in the national ranking. The campaign aimed to inform students and staff, ensuring transparency and emphasizing the institution’s strengths throughout the evaluation.

Our daily work for Diego Portales University included designing various mailings for both internal and external communication. While many adhered to strict guidelines established by us and previous agencies, others allowed for more creative and distinctive approaches.
2018 Admission Event
At the start of each year, Diego Portales University hosts the Applicant Fair, a week-long event aimed at welcoming prospective students. This fair provides an opportunity for attendees to learn about the university’s courses and explore the campus facilities. We were tasked with designing the promotional campaign for the event, as well as creating stand designs and event materials, including posters, banners, signage, and furniture.
